China Completes Trial Runs for TD-SCDMA IC and Terminal Devices

The first phase of the third TD-SCDMA trial run in China has been completed in mid-October, 2006. In terms of the chips, Datang, Spreadtrum, and Commit's solutions have all passed the test, with the exception of T3G's chip solutions. Of the 12 TD-SCDMA terminal devices provided by ZTE, Holley Communications, Hisense, LG, Longcheer, Inventec, Haier, Simcom, Bird, Lenovo, Amoi, and Xingyoutong in Guangzhou, only ZTE, Holley Communications, Hisense, LG, Longcheer, Inventec, Haier, and Simcom's devices have met the standards. Unqualified chips and terminal devices will be undertaking a second test.
